Ethan's Pics and Em's Nasty Chicken Nuggets!

So today I took Emily over to a friends house and took Ethan to get his pictures taken for his 4th birthday! Here are a few of the cute pics we had taken.

They all turned out really cute! It was hard to make a decision. I got several different poses that I will be sending out soon! Doesn't he look so old?

At lunch time today I decided to make tater tots and chicken nuggets. The tater tots take longer than the nuggets so I put the tater tots in the oven and the frozen nuggets on a paper plate to put in the oven in a few minutes. As I was going through Ethan's pictures to decided which ones to post, Emily came in crying about her nuggets. I told her it would just a minute and went to put them in the oven with the tater tots. When I got to the kitchen they were missing! I found them on the table where Emily sits with several bites taken out of each of them! I guess maybe frozen chicken nuggets taste good! At least they are precooked! She is probably no longer hungry!

Visiting Dad at Work

The other day Zach and I ventured past the parking lot to see Tyler's office after going to lunch with him. Zachary made out like a bandit while visiting. Tyler's trainer gave Zach the Mobil Pegasus and another man in Tyler's group insisted that Zach take his Exxon Tiger so that he could have the complete set.

This is the face Zach now gives me when I ask him to smile for the camera. He is actually smiling, so at least he's doing what I'm asking him to!

Ethan's Fan Club!

So, thanks to Ethan, Zach has a new love...soccer. I went out and purchased Zach a soccer ball a la Exxon's Academy gift card for safety. Of all the choices Zach just had to have the BLUE soccer ball like Ethan's. I tried to offer him a miriad of choices, but he was dead set on the blue one.

As you can see Zachary had a blast playing soccer with his Daddy. We look forward to attending Ethan's games, but I have a feeling we won't be able to attend as often as I would like. This only being due to the fact that Zach will want to be out on the field with him. His day will come.

The other reason why I call this Ethan's fan club is because numerous times I've heard Zach say, "Efan, where are you?!?" Of course I always have to tell him he's at home with his mommy and Emily. He used to ask Daddy where are you, but now I guess he's on to Ethan. He is a fun little cousin to play with!

Another thing Zach does, while we're on the topic of his love of cousins, is whenever we go over his cousins names in the pictures everyone to him is Rachael. You can point to anyone and he'll tell you it's Rachael. I'm sure this is from the moment they had rolling around on the floor together. I look forward to seeing his reaction the next time they get together.

Two Peas in a Pod

I've had these pictures since Sunday and I've been meaning to post them. I figured while Zach is supposed to be taking a nap, instead he is shouting out "Mommy, where are you?", I should take the time to post a sweet story. Zach and Emily are definitely like two peas in a pod. They learn so much from each other, some things good and some things not so good. But they always enjoy each others company and whatever one is doing the other wants to do it too. Kinda like Ethan, Emma, and Rachael when they get together. They both wanted to be in a basket wo we pulled out the big laundry basket for them to both fit in. As you can see they enjoyed it.

The Children's Museum!

Yesterday we made our way to the Children's Museum with a group of my friends. So 4 moms braved a day out with 7 kids! We were slightly outnumbered, but still had a great time! Here are the pictures to prove it!

This the beautiful Thomas the Tank Engine that I painted on Ethan's face at the face painting station.

Watch out! Only 12 more years until Ethan's on the roads! He's practicing already!

Emily got to milk her first cow. Does it count when the cow is plastic and water comes out instead of milk?

The next stop was the grocery store. They got a basket and a grocery list of things to find. It was really cute!

After finding everything on his list, it was time for Ethan to check out!

They also got to do a little bit of painting. It's the first time I have let Emily try her hand at real paint! She had a great time!

I guess that is all for the pictures. Blogger has decided that it doesn't want to let me post any more. I had a really cute one of Ethan painting that I really wanted to put up, but oh well. After 7 tries I give up. As you can see the kids had a great time. I'm sure it is a place will visit again. Next time we will make sure to takd Daddy!

Our Little Soccer Star!

I know this picture isn't the greatest because of the weird light on Ethan's face, but you still get the idea! He is really excited to start soccer in a few weeks. Today we made our way to the sports store and picked out a new blue soccer ball, new blue and white shin guards, new blue soccer socks, new blue shorts, and settled on new black soccer cleats (thanks Grammy for the shoes!), since they didn't have any that were blue. If you haven't figured it out yet, Ethan's favorite color is blue! I wanted to get all the stuff so that he could get used to wearing it and also kick the ball around a little before practice. I think I may regret that now because he has asked me twice in the 30 minutes we have been home if he can go to soccer practice today. It could be a long two weeks. I will keep you all posted on how it goes and make sure to post some action shots of him playing. I am sure it will be slightly chaotic, but fun none the less! So all you soccer fans watch out for Ethan! He is the up and coming soccer star!!

All Girl!

If there was ever a doubt in my mind that Emily was a girly girly she erased it today. She has always been slightly concerned with her hair and hair bows. If her bow ever falls out she comes running and crying to let me know she needs it back in. Right after she gets dressed she starts patting her head and saying bow! Well today I realized I have a true hair monster on my hands. We were coming out of Wal-Mart this morning and it was sprinkling a little bit. She started saying "Rain, Rain!" I said "Yep it's raining." She automatically puts her hand on her head and says "Oh no, my hair!" Can you believe a not even 2 year old was worried about the rain ruining her hair? What in the world am I going to do with her when she is a teenager. I better start preparing myself now!

Zzzzz...

Yes, Z is for Zachary, but it also means sleep!! It has been a while since I've been able to capture a picture of him sleeping. It's one of those moments you want to savor and make last! He's so precious when he's sleeping as all children are I thought I would share it with everyone!
The only reason why I went in his room was to wake him up for his 2 year check up. Everything went well. The doctor tried to give me some ideas on how to wean Zach off his pacifier...wish me luck!!
